The RIG is a multisport adventure and orientation race which takes place in a wonderful natural landscape, between mountain and sea, in the province of Quebec, Canada. By teams of 2, the athletes must, with a minimum gear, go over a distance of 300 K or 150 K in 3 days, and perform various sport-nature disciplines such as mountain bike, canoe on sea and rivers, trekking, coastering, swimming, rope activities, trail running, canyoning and other surprises. The diversity of the teams from all over the world taking the start at the Raid international Gaspésie is impressive. In addition of revealing the exceptional beauty of the gaspesian landscapes, the RIG promotes a healthy way of life and calls for excelling oneself.
