Please check out the web site for entry form and scenario. This is a fun, tongue-in-cheek escape race. There will be escapees and bounty hunters. The bounty hunters will leave 10 min. after the racers. The bounty hunters receive a $1 bounty for all escapee times they beat. Anyone can sign up to be a bounty hunter, limit 6 teams of bounty hunters.
We have an ADAPTIVE catagory in our race. One team member may use a non-mechanically propelled vehicle in place of running on the trails. In other words, no motors, chain drives, or other than human power, but may have wheels for those who can\'t run the trails.
In the past more than half of the teams have not found all the check points on the bike section due to the nature of the winding, convoluted county roads.
We have prizes for finishers, those teams who do the course but miss less than three check points and winners, those teams who get all the check points and finish the whole course including the challenges. Refreshments will be provided after the race.
We can not leave the county park trails but there will be messy sections. Teams may have to portage the shallow sections of the river course.
As in most races you bring your own bike. In our race, since we enjoy fast boats, you bring your own racing boat. The following 2004 USCA National Champions will be competing in this event: C-2 W Canoe, K-1 M Sea Kayak, K-1 M Downriver Kayak, K-1 W Sea Kayak.
