This race course has everything you can dream of for an ÖTILLÖ Swimrun World Series Final. It is hard, it is long, it is stunning.

(And if you want a shorter event there is also a 15km Sprint Race and a 5.5km Experience Race, both of which can be raced solo.)

The World Series course is almost flat; starting in the old town of Valletta, within the ramparts with all the magnificent buildings around, then swimming and running across bays out of the city into nature. Where crystal-clear swims dominate, barren trails, small fishing villages with a breath-taking swim to the finish line. Along the way you will find some surprises. This is for sure a swimrunners course with lots of transitions, tricky water entries and exits, big runs, open water swims and no place to rest.

A total of 39,8 km with 13 swims of which the longest is 1 600 metres. A total of 8 700 metres of swimming. Do not take the swims lightly.

The race starts in the historical city centre of Valletta with a beautiful run, then a swim across to the next town towards the Northwest, then swimrunning along the coast all the way around to Golden Sands. Finishing with a spectacular swim. We will transport all the racers to Valletta in the morning from Golden Sands. The water is warm and very clear.

Along the course we will have cut-off points for those not fast enough to make it before dark.
