Organised by the Ñandupe Aventura team, the race is the first ARWS Tier 2 event in South America, with the winners taking a place in the regional finals in Pucón, Chile later in the year.

The race is also part of the Paraguayan National Series, organised by the Adventure Runners Club of Paraguay.

The race is in the North of the country and has 3 different categories - 170km (ARWS), 50km and 30km.
