This race is an extension of the Spring Challenge All Women's Race, which has reached capacity.

It follows the same format with 3, 6 and 9 hour courses for teams of 3. The key difference between the two events is that the Spring Challenge has river rafting whereas the Summer Challenge has kayaking. Both events include mountain biking and hiking, with a strong navigation component to the courses.
