TRIO Adventure Challenge is the first Central American adventure racing series to focus on the participation of adventure athletes, sponsors, and spectators while promoting community development efforts.
The first event of the series will be held in Nicaragua on May 21-27, 2005. It will be a four-day race (May 23-26) where athletes from around the world will participate in mixed teams of 4 members each. The race will require maximum effort from these athletes during 96 hours, 4 complete days, while covering more than 400 kilometers in a secret, double-star route throughout Nicaragua. Participants will take part in various adventures, including rope climbing, orienteering, trekking, swimming, kayaking, mountain biking, team obstacles, and other mental and physical challenges.
A limited number of support people and spectator spots are available for this race. The registration cost for these spots is $550 per person and includes lodging, transportation, and meals in Nicaragua from May 21, 2005 to May 27, 2005.
Spectators and supporters participate in a parallel package specially designed to integrate with the various stages of the Nicaragua 2005 adventure race. You will have a chance to learn about the local communities, watch the teams during competition, and decide on daily activities that revolve around the race stage for that particular day.
Spectator and supporter spots are limited; however, registration will remain open until the maximum number of people have completed their registration. Limited registration is available online at www.ACTIVE.com or you may contact us directly at spectator@info.com for more information.
