The brilliant record, which has stood for 30 years, is held by ultra running legend Mike Hartley. He ran the route across the breadth England, from the Irish Sea on the west coast to the North Sea on the east coast, in an incredible time of 39 hours, 36 minutes and 52 seconds in 1991.

Inov-8 Ambassador, Damian Hall, will follow the same route of approximately 185 miles, starting at St Bees and finishing at Robin Hood’s Bay, while also picking up litter along the way. He will be supported by a small team of friends, some of whom will pace him on the trail and others who will provide crucial road support at scheduled meet-up points.
