The Maine Summer Adventure Race is an annual event designed to showcase the most beautiful, interesting, and fun parts of Maine.
This year's race will once again begin and end at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester, Maine.
For this year's 24-hour race, a USARA Regional Championship, self-supported teams of two to four (and solos upon request) will travel nonstop on an unmarked, linear course via mountain bike, foot, sea kayak, and packraft, navigating by map and compass.
The 8-hour race will feature road biking, with an optional mountain biking section, sea kayaking, and trekking.
The 3-hour race - ideal for beginners and families - takes place entirely at Pineland Farms and will feature a foot navigation section and optional biking on wide and smooth gravel trails.
The race is hosted and designed by Kate and Cliff White, the founders of Strong Machine Adventure Racing.
