ITERA is the only expedition race in the UK and part of the Adventure Racing World Series.

The venue moves around the country, and ITERA's have been held in England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland.  The 2022 race is the first to return to the same country in the following edition as the last was held in Scotland in 2019.

The race is run by Open Adventure and the Race Director is Paul McGreal of Durty Events.

This year the race HQ will be in Oban and the course will cover 500km with 14,000m of ascent.
