High Peak Marathon is a night-time navigation challenge which follows a 42 mile bog-trotting route based on the Derwent Watershed. The event passes through some of the most desolate, windswept and leg-tiring areas of England and tests competitors\' endurance, night-time navigation and safe traverse of the moors. It demands high levels of both skill and fitness with competitors being required to carry enough food and equipment for a safe expedition.
Competitors enter in teams of four and for most, the challenge is simply to complete the event. However, trophies are awarded to the overall winners as well as the first mixed and veteran teams. - part of the Mountain Marathon series Entry Fee( GBP ) 68See All Event Posts
