The location of the 7th World Rogaining Championships (an embargo will apply) is the Warrumbungle Ranges National Park and surrounds in northern New South Wales (Australia) between Sydney and Brisbane. This is an outstanding scenic area of deeply eroded ancient volcanoes with remnant spires, columns and sharp ridges: see
The Warrumbungles and neighbouring national parks offer excellent opportunities for extra day and overnight walks after 7WRC.
Entry opened on 10th March 2006 and closed at midnight on the 30th April 2006.
~700 entrants in approximately 110 teams have entered to date.
Teams have entered from Australia, Estonia, New Zealand, Canada, United States, Papua New Guninea and Sweden.
