Ocean Swim Course: Swimmers will start on the beach. After turning a buoy outside the break swimmers will head north to another turning buoy. From there it will be a diagonal course out to sea around one more buoy then back to shore.
Ocean Paddle Short and Long Course: Paddlers should drop their craft off at Governor Philip Park on Pittwater. This applies to both courses. Both course will start off the beach on Pittwater. Short course will head South to the turning mark then proceed around Barrenjoey to the finish at Palm Beach. Long Course will go around Barrenjoey to Palm Beach where they will portage and make their way to Avalon Headland around a buoy and back to the finish at Palm Beach. Note; OC1s and Sea Kayaks will not have to portage.
Sprint Knockout - After the long course race the top 10 male and top 5 female paddlers go to a \"SPRINT KNOCKOUT\". Combined scores from the knockout and the long course race decide the winner. In the case of a draw the highest place in the long course race is the winner. Contingency: in the case of adverse conditions the course may vary to suit.
