Maximum Adventure Standard Training Couse #1
Adventure racing is a new sport which involves teams of 2-4 people navigating their way around a course involving mtb, trail running and kayaking.
You might come from a background such as running, cycling, kayaking or triathlon. Maybe you like exploring new areas, looking at maps or just want a new way to exercise. Then adventure racing is for you, it’s known as the “smart sport†where the strategy ‘Smart and steady will win the race’ is right and age is no barrier.
However you still feel apprehensive about entering a race. So why not experience the ideal way to learn about adventure racing by completing an introductory AR course. The weekend course will take you through all the necessary technical skills to complete an adventure race.
On day one you learn the technical skills of each discipline with our experienced instructors. Areas of focus include navigation, preparation, kit, nutrition, strategy, paddling techniques, mountain biking skills and night trail running/navigation. Day two involves completing a mini adventure challenge with your newly acquired skills.
