It's the fourth event of the Portuguese Adventure Racing Championships. It's coordinated by the AR Club - UTL Aventura and has the support of the Portuguese Orienteering Federation.

Due to that affiliation this championship is very demanding in orienteering and strategy plays a fundamental role in the team’s success.
