The Wilderness ARC
The Wilderness ARC is a 5-day expedition-style Adventure Race. It will be the British Adventure Racing Championship and is also an AR World Series event and qualifier for the Adventure Race World Championship.
Mixed teams of 4 will race unsupported together over a course of up to 250 miles through the magnificence of the Western Highlands of Scotland.
The journey will only involve human powered transport and disciplines may include trail running, mountain biking, canoeing, ropework, swimming and others. Navigation will be an integral component of the entire race.
The Wilderness ARC is non-stop. Teams decide when to sleep and eat in order to reach certain points in the course before any deadlines are imposed.
The ARC is the product of a unique collaboration of Britain’s best adventure race organisers who have come together to collectively stage the Wilderness ARC.
