NSW State Champs MTB - O
Garingal Orienteering Club invites you to compete in an area new to Mountain Bike Orienteering in the beautiful World Heritage Listed Blue Mountains area of New South Wales.
The 2006 State Championships is a single day event on a brand new map set in the Newnes State Forest. Some parts of the map were previously used for orienteering in the 1980’s and more recently for the 2005 Paddy Pallin Rogaine. You can expect a mixture of native and pine forest, large rideable open areas, fast single track and a
complex network of track junctions. Ranging from very flat to steep sections the courses will require significant route choice to avoid climb and minimise distance.
Sportident will be used on the day, with SI Sticks being available for rent.
Entry Fees:
Seniors (16 and over) - $30.00
Juniors (under 16) - $15.00
Family Maximum - $75.00 (Up to 4 members
living at one address)
Seniors not members of an Orienteering club pay an additional fee of $5 per person.
Sportident Hire –required if competitors do not have their own SI stick - $2 each
Course length vary, but most should complete their course between 90 and 150 minutes.
