The Big Sky Breakdown Expedition Adventure Race

250 Miles
A new 250 mile Adventure Race is coming this summer to Montana. The big Sky Breakdown will start July 27 and finish July 30. Located in the mountains of the Gallatin National Forest, the event is organized by adventure racer’s Chris Axelson and George Rice. George and Chris have spent years training in this area and promise a challenging and inspiring event.
The Gallatin National Forest is renowned for its spectacular mountains which offer superb riding, trekking and paddling. Expect fabulous treks in mountains reaching to 10,000 feet, awesome rides to the summits of the area’s mountains with breathtaking taking descents and paddling class II white water.
This race is unsupported, with the race organizers providing all gear transport. Two and four person may compete. The entry fee for four person teams is $1900, and two person teams may compete for $1000. Registration opens April 1.
