Bushwhack Adventures is pleased to announce the Impossible Panther Adventure Race, debuting May 19, 2007! This AR will be held in the Uwharrie National Forest in central North Carolina, USA.
Adventure racers have three course lengths to choose from: a 4 hour Sport course, an 8 hour Challenge course and a 12 hour Long course. All courses will include mountain biking, trekking, a water section, and special challenges.
Scoring for the Sport course will be time-based, with time penalties for missed CP’s. The race passport will specify the order in which CP’s are to be visited.
Scoring for the Challenge and Long courses will be point-based, with point penalties for missing any of the mandatory CP’s. However, the majority of CP’s in this modified rogaine format will be optional, with teams deciding which CP’s to visit and what order to visit them.
Entry to the Impossible Panther AR includes free on-site camping and a post-race meal, so plan to come early and hang out afterwards to enjoy the company of fellow adventure racers. The campground includes hot showers just a few feet from the finish line!
