Holistix Adventure Race Weekend
Holistix 6hr Circuit Race
Date: Saturday 24 March
Start: 09:00
Registration from 07:30
Duration: 6 hours – finish the lap you have started once the 6 hour mark is reached.
Venue: Northern Farm
Prize giving at 16:00
This is an exiting race consisting of trail running, single track intermediate level mountain biking, some water obstacles among the picturesque surroundings of Northern Farm (visit http://www.northernfarm.co.za/) for information and directions. This race aims at bridging the gap between sprint races and entry level Adventure Races (65km). There will be no navigation required as teams will follow a marked route. This race will give teams a chance to prove to themselves that they can race for at least 6 hours before attempting an entry level adventure race.
Teams
Team of 4 - at least 1 member of the opposite sex. (Official Team)
Team of 3 – mixed or same sex (Unofficial Team)
Team of 2 – mixed or same sex (Unofficial Team)

Compulsory Kit
All team members must race with a back pack.
All teams must have a first-aid kit
Each team member is to have at least 2litres of drinking water with them during the race – this is compulsory - you will find out why on the day.
Hard shell helmet.
Transition
The race will have a central transition area, but team’s support crews will not be allowed to venture onto the course.
There will be comms with the marshals on the route should the support crews need to enquire about their team.
All support crews are to be self sufficient with regards to equipment needed to look after your team.
There is a short sprint race if any of the support crew would like to participate, see sprint race details.
Race Numbers
All teams participating in this 6 hour race will have their numbers written on their bodies with a black marker. The onus is on the team to ensure they give the correct number to the marshals along the route and that their number is visible at all times, neglecting to adhere to this rule will lead to a disqualification.
Facilities
There will be food and drinks on sale at the venue
There are toilets and showers available - please make use of the toilets that are provided.
We will have a medical crew on hand throughout the day.
Parking
There will be ample secure parking.
The usual Northern Farm entrance fee of R6-00 per person will apply. For those racing, this will be reimbursed on registration.

Duration: 1 Lap – time depends on you, how fast you can race
Venue: Northern Farm
Prize giving at 16:00
This is a one-lap race of about 35km and consists of a section of trail running/hiking, single track mountain biking, some water obstacles, all among the picturesque surroundings of Northern Farm (visit http://www.northernfarm.co.za/) for information and directions. This race is aimed at beginners and experienced multi sport athletes. Why not organize a corporate or club team?
