Length: 10 km
Location: Army training land
Website: www.allabouttriathlons.co.uk
Everyone starts at the same time. After a 100m dash, each competitor picks up a map of the area, showing ten Check Points. Race to each Check Point and dib your electronic ‘Widget\' into the Check Point transmitter. Then, in any order, race to the next Check Point.

Complete the ten Check Points in any order and run back to the finish line. You should run approximately 10k-12k depending on the course you choose.

To limit any errors in planning your route try pairing up with other athletes or go it alone to maximize speed.

Provided on the day: Map & electronic Widget.

Widgets: Each competitor is provided with an electronic Widget about the size of a biscuit. The Widget will automatically zero its self at the start and then electronically record your visit to each of the Check Points. Just touch the Widget to the Check Point transmitter to confirm your visit.

Check Points: These are electronic transmitters about knee height and coloured Red and White. There will be ten dotted across Hawley Common as shown by the map. The Widget will record your time of arrival at the Check Point and your overall race time.

The Map: This is an accurate map showing 90% of the tracks. This is issued after the race has started. You don\'t have to follow the tracks but instead can take short cuts across the undergrowth to reach the your destination.

Race etiquette: There are many ways to winning this race including; choosing the most efficient route, not getting lost, racing on your own, running fast. But feel free to team up with other athletes en route and use your collective brain power. The course is not designed to test your map reading skills but more to test your ability to make a quick decision, choose the best route and run fast.

You will invariably be running the same route as other athletes and in the same direction but, will you be able to keep up with them and are they going the right way?
