Inner Limits, started in 2002, is Calgary’s first urban adventure race.

On May 29, 2004 seventy-five co-ed teams of three will tackle this 90 km, 12 hour loop of the city, experiencing forest, urban environments, flat and moving water, nature, roads and pathways, while wrestling with other urban challenges in between.

The maximum number of teams that will able to participate in the Inner Limits will be 75, with 225 competitors. This number is expected to grow over the next few years. The 2002 Inner Limits event attracted 57 teams, the largest number to ever participate in an Urban Adventure Race in North America, up to that time.

Participants will range from first-time competitors, keen to test themselves and their interest in the sport on this accessible version of the Eco-Challenge, to seasoned teams looking for an early season training opportunity with a bit of a twist.
Past teams registered range from physiotherapists on their first outing, to a corporate team of engineers with a long background in racing, to a team of professional world-class adventure racers.
