Devizes Westminster is one of the toughest annual endurance events in the world, and open to anyone who can put in the training.

Senior competitors finish the 125-mile course in double kayaks in one stretch. Completing the course in less than 24 hours is a goal for many, a challenge for most.

Starting in Devizes you and your partner will have to pace your race. Start to early and your body will burn out - this race takes you to the limit of what your body can do. Start to slow and you won\'t be able to keep going and meet the tidal waters of the lower Thames.

It\'s a monumental effort battling physical and mental fatigue and fighting the desire to sleep. There are no planned rests with support crews en route to keep you moving as you paddle through the night until Wesminster Bridge in the heart of London.

Training and preparation for DW should start early in the New Year for the race that takes place over the Easter Weekend.

If you don\'t want to do the straight through race, the Endeavour event splits the course over four days. It\'s open to all ages - juniors through to veterans.

Details of how to prepare for all the races can be found on the event website, alongwith suggested warm up races and preparation events.

If you\'re looking for a new adventure, you\'ve found it. Only you know if you\'ll be able to rise to the challenge. Entry Fee( GBP ) 135/86See All Event Posts
