CCAR 2 day event
The 2 day events will take place on the following dates:-
23rd-24th February 2008
4th-5th October 2008
These events will take place, on and off over a 36hr period. The one day event will serve as the 1st stage (a speed stage) which will take teams between 3hrs and 6hrs depending on your fitness level. This first stage will follow a similar format to the events which we run last year. Teams will have to visit 20 checkpoints in numeric order, 5 of these checkpoints will have a secret task.
Stage 2 will take place later in the evening when nightfall arrives, this will be a 1-1.5hr night orienteering score event.
After the night nav. teams will be given the control points for day 2, just so that they can plot them onto the map before the early start the next morning, but don\'t worry we will have arranged a place for you to stay were you should have ample time to get those maps marked up and ready to go the next morning.
Stage 3 will be another score event but teams will have the choice on what they want to do first, it\'s ethier bike or run first before changing over to the other discipline to collect as many checkpoints in the 5-6hrs allowed. Teams must transition and collect at least 2 checkpoints from each discipline.
