At registration you will be given a pre-marked, waterproof map showing 18 run/trek checkpoints(CPs)and 18 mountain bike CPs. CPs have different values and you have 8 hours to reach as many CPs as possible to accumulate maximum points. You choose whether to run or bike first and decide how much time to spend on each discipline. At the start, the control card and descriptions for your chosen first stage will be issued. You collect your other control card when you return to base for transition. The clock will not stop during transition, you\'ll need to be well organised. Planning, route choice and teamwork will all be essential for a top scoring position. The event will reflect some of the pressures of the multiday adventure races and help prepare teams for these longer events.
The winter events will start later to include an element of night navigation, either on bike or on foot.
