The eighth Wooden Spoon Ford Ranger Great Lakeland Challenge will conquer the longest lake, steepest pass and highest mountain in the Lake District – the beautiful and sometimes forbidding mountainous region tucked in England’s far north-western corner. Within 12 hours teams will canoe Lake Windermere (10.5 miles), cycle 26 miles over Wrynose & Hard Knott Pass encompassing 1200ft climbs and gradients of 1:3 and finally climb the mighty Scafell Pike (3208 ft.)
Each 3-person team will be supported by a driver in a team vehicle supplied by Ford. The drivers role is to support their 3 team mates around the course and especially through the transition areas.
As well as a vehicle from Ford each team will be supplied with clothing from Karrimor and accommodation at one of the Lake Districts' finest hotels. In return teams must raise a minimum of £3500 in sponsorship. Entry Fee( GBP )See All Event Posts
