The Basket Case Rogaine takes place across Basket Swamp NP and Boonoo State Forest through some beautiful landscape. Located northwest of Tenterfield, NSW, it will no doubt be a state of origin contest with our southern neighbours!
Rogaining is the sport of long distance cross-country navigation, in which teams of two to five people visit as many checkpoints as they wish in a set time period.
While longer Rogaines provide the opportunity for night navigation, it is by no means compulsory.
Rogaining is a team activity for people of all ages and levels of fitness. Everyone from elite athletes to families with young children can enjoy rogaining. New rogainers are always welcome and experienced rogainers will be only too pleased to offer assistance. The parts of the course you visit are entirely up to you and your team members. There are no set routes and you don\'t have to spend the whole time on the course.
What: Teams of 2-5 people
When: Saturday 16th May 11am (map handout 9:30am)
Location: Basket Swamp NP / Boonoo State Forest
Duration: 6 or 12 hours
Cost: $35 Adult, $20 Student
($10 surcharge for non-members)
Includes: Map, drink and post-event feed
