Over 300 competitors will vie for places in the 10th Anniversary race on July 10th, 2010.

The Columbia Carlingford Lough Endurance Challenge ‘CLEC’ is Ireland’s longest running multi-sport event.

The CLEC traverses the local Cooley Mountains and navigates Carlingford Lough in Co. Louth. Competitors mountain bike 31km (three stages of 18km, 5 km and 8km), run 15km (including two peak runs) and kayak 4km.

And after all this, they still have the energy to enjoy one of the best BBQ’s and post event party, on the circuit at Carlingford Sailing Club.

Top competitors take four hours to cover the 50kms while the final finishers are expected in 7 hours.

Entries open for the event on March 1st each year.

The minimum age to enter is 18 and there is no upper age limit.
