The Big Sky Breakdown
What about racing in the Montana Rockies?
11.05.2006

The Big Sky Breakdown will be the first expedition length race in Montana. This race is 250 miles in length and will take 3-4 days to complete. This is a race for racers, not for media hype. This means demanding legs, tough navigation with multiple route choices, opportunities to bushwhack and the rewards of beautiful scenery. For this race, the attention is on the racer, and the team. They won't be distracted by multiple media organizations getting in the way. Every team is important and will receive the full attention of the race organization to assure all participants a great experience. The Big Sky Breakdown is about Adventure Racing, pure and simple. Team logistical planning will be kept to a minimum. There will be no support crews. This will simplify operations for the race and reduce environmental impact. The race organizers will transport team gear to transition areas. Hot meals will be provided at selected TA's, and limited assistance will be available as well. This event is about racing, not spending time renting RV's and finding crew to help get you around the course.
What about racing in the Montana Rockies? Yep, its real fine and hard to beat, but you'll have to come to the race to see what the chatter is all about. Whether you are an experienced racer or this happens to be your first effort at a long race, the Big Sky Breakdown is an event for all Adventure Racing enthusiasts.
