Team Mighty Dog continues to lead the Florida Coast to Coast

For the third day the heat continues to take its toll on the competitors. Unrelenting heat and humidity covers the course here in Central Florida. Race officials have stationed water at a point on the trekking section for racers to rehydrate. Navigation errors combined with Mother Nature have slown the pace of the racers.

Teams after completing the paddle - orienteering - paddle combined leg arrived at TA4 to switch over to trekking. In this sections teams trekked through beautiful sections of the countryside abundent with wildlife. From here teams cross country trek to Bull Creek Campground to transitioin over to their cycles for one last biking section. After which teams will complete one last transition, touch the Atlantic Ocean and sprinit to the finish line.

Team Mighty Dog continues to hold its lead but has not made it to TA4 at the time of this posting. Team Gerber has been given penelties for missing 2 CP's. Team Remedy and Team Racephoto.com/CLC Boats have been penalized for missing 5 CP's. Team DrySock have missed 8 CP's and Team Too Blue have missed 11 CP's.

Teams Dominican Republic #1 and Team Golite/SOL #2 are still racing on the shorter course but still set on finishing the race. Unranked teams due to loosing a teammate are Team Relentless, Hoof Hearted, Lunatic Fringe, Conch Republicans and Figjam. Teams that have withdrawn from the race at this time are Team Sun Tek, Gnome Hunters, Nature's Call and Bike Tech.See All Event Posts
