If you’ve missed out on being ‘Tough Enough for the SAS’ on the BBC you could still have a go at ‘Fujitives’ on Channel 5. You’ll have to be quick though.
There have been a number of similar programmes in the US in recent years, but just for once it seems C5 isn’t buying those, but making it’s own. Here’s what the production company are saying:
‘The Fugitives’ is the brand new survival adventure programme from RDF Media, the producers of ‘Faking It’, ‘Scrapheap Challenge’, and ‘Banzai’.
Could you be one of four team members who are on the run from a hunter force of SAS-trained trackers and their attack dogs. You must successfully navigate treacherous terrain over a series of check points whilst evading capture. You are cold, tired, hungry and very, very wet.
Can you outwit the hunter force after 18 hours on the run without food? Can you stand the pain of agonising blisters and exhausted muscles? Can you make it to safety and claim the big prize money?

Sounds like Adrenalin Rush with a team in pursuit to me! The application form is fairly detailed and includes the following questions?
- What sport/exercise do you do?
- How do describe your level of fitness?
- Do you have any survival skills; If so what are they and where did you gain them?
- Team Dynamics – How do you see yourself in a team? i.e. Doer, thinker, or leader
- What are your map reading skills like?
- If you were stranded in a remote rural environment. What three items would be most useful to you and why?
