Two Texas brothers conquer a tri-country bike ride from Alaska to Mexico

11.05.2006
Get ready for the incredible journey of two Texas brothers as they conquer a tri-country bike ride from Alaska to Mexico. Branndon Bargo, 30, and Greg Bargo, 23, will begin their expedition climbing Mt. McKinley, the highest mountain in North America at 20,320 feet. They will bike more than 3,800 miles through Alaska, British Columbia, Yukon Territory, and along the entire coastal highway to Mexico. Before ending they will stop to scuba dive with great white sharks near the Farallon Islands off the coast of San Francisco. They will cover four states, two provinces, and three countries. The purpose of their journey is to raise money and support for the children of Star Ranch.

Star Ranch, located in Ingram, Texas is a facility that houses children with behavioral disorders, learning disabilities, and children that are victims of abuse. Through its various programs children from around the country have the opportunity to be enrolled in school, camp or a residential treatment center. Branndon and Greg have been involved with Star Ranch as employees and volunteers for the last 6 years. The Ranch has had a huge impact on the brothers' lives and they would like to give something back to the children who have meant so much to them.
