Corpnet / Sirromet Wines XC Duathlon

Take part in this exciting XC Run/Mountain Bike corporate event taking place at Sirromet Wines, Mount Cotton – recognized as one of the premier Wineries in South East Queensland.
The Duathlon format will be a 5 km XC trail run, followed by a 40 km XC mountain bike ride and finishing with a 5 km XC trail run, as follows:
The first 5k XC trail run consists of two (2) x 2.5 km cross country running laps through the vineyards.
The 40 km XC mountain bike ride will consist of five (5) x 8 km laps along a scenic bike route which will traverse the rolling countryside of Sirromet Winery including moderate climbs along tranquil fire roads and some fast single track.
The last 5k XC trail run consists of a final two (2) x 2.5km cross country running laps to the finish line.
The bike course is closed to traffic.
There will be first aid stations, water, and energy drinks on both the bike and run routes. This is an MTBA sanctioned event. Total race duration should not be more than 4 hours. Competitors can compete as individuals or relay teams of two or four.
