With such places as Arches NP, Canyonlands NP, Capitol Reef NP, Zion NP, Bryce Canyon NP, Monument Valley, Lake Powell and Glen Canyon Dam on its virtual doorstep its going to be hard just concentrating on the job at hand without getting caught up in the spectacular scenery that these teams are going to be racing through. This is if they stay within Utah, you also have Wyoming, Nevada, Colorado and Arizona as neigbouring states.

Check out Utah.com for a taste of the awesome scenery these guys will be racing through.

The task ahead has started to sink in over the past few days as the gear has started to pile up, in Adventure Racing there always seems to be 1 new piece of gear you need, for Primal Quest with 10km of ropework among the disciplines the gear list is longer than ever.

Reports from the field have told us that due to warm temps of late that the equipment list has been shortened, so there will be no need for the Aussies to dig out their ice axes and crampons, utensils commonly used downunder at most races (yeah right).

So onto the guys going over to take on Primal Quest...
