The Freycinet Lodge Challenge 2006, Australian Multisport Championship

SleepMonsters Aus & Kris Clauson / 17.08.2006
Freycinet is awesome with its craggy and dramatic outlines, sea cliffs, forest tracks, abundant wildlife, bright white beaches and striking blue-green sea. The jewel is Wineglass Bay, a perfect half-moon bay that is ranked as one of the world\'s best beaches.

Competitor will run forest trails and pristine beaches, kayak on turquoise water beneath the Hazards, cycle quiet country roads and mountain bike some exhilarating bush tracks. The challenge can be tackled in teams of two, three, four or individually. There is also an option to do one day of the challenge (Sunday) for those looking for a taste or with limited time.

With $4000 for the first individual male and female the competition is expected to be extremely close this year.

The race should attract competitors from across the country and with local knowledge proving an advantge you can bet the locals will be training the house down to stop last years champion Jody Zerbst from retaining his title in the mens category.
