The North Face Endurance 7
Paul Tinkler / 10.10.2006

Never attempted before in Australia, the North Face Endurance seven saw Andrews run for five to six hours every day, then rushing to the airport to make the flight to the next marathon location. The feat is made more impressive considering the lack of sleep and recovery time imposed on the 3 time iron-man champion.
The punishing event began on the Gold Coast Hinterland, with a midnight run in a battering thunderstorm. With all the runs being off road courses navigated by GPS, weather played an integral part in the degree of difficulty for each run. Running with a head lamp, Andrews’ visibility was down to 3 metres as he negotiated the tough terrain.
