Gallaecia Raid - 200 km Concello de As Pontes (Spain)

This event will take place in far northeastern Spain, in the mountainous province of Galicia – bordered to the west and north by the Atlantic Ocean and Bay of Biscay, and to the south by Portugal. The beautiful mountain ranges surrounding the village of As Pontes are the setting for this course, which will traverse the A Carba, Xistral and Faladoira ranges, and the areas around A Capela, A Ribeira and Las Fragas del Eume.
You can get to Galicia by an easy flight from the UK to either La Coruña or Santiago de Compostela international airports – there are direct flights from both Heathrow and Stansted.
Race disciplines include mountain biking, mountain trekking, canoeing, rappel, jumar, orienteering, and inline skate.
This organizers of Gallaecia Raid are working hard to encourage more women into the sport of AR. To that end, in addition to the prize money offered (1st E700, 2nd E400, 3rd E300) there will be special prizes of gear and clothing for female participants, and teams with two female members will receive a 5% bonus time.
