2007 Strahan Village Challenge
SleepMonsters Aus / 04.12.2006

The Challenge will start on Friday afternoon with a short prologue around Strahan. The results of which will be used to seed competitors for the following days racing.
Saturday will be a long day starting with a mountain bike incorporating the stunning ocean beach and Road cycle legs. After the cycling legs competitors and support will board the Lady Jane ll for the trip to Pillinger, a once bustling port town now reclaimed by the rainforest. Starting and finishing at Pilllinger the run will take competitors through the rainforest following the line of the old rail along the bank of the Bird River. Kayakers will then get their turn with a paddle on the headwaters of Maquarie Harbour starting and finishing on Sarah Island, once a notorious penal colony for the worst of our forebearers.
Sunday will be a hard and fast half day of racing around Strahan with presentations wrapping up by early afternoon.
More information and entries can be lodged on the event website Here.
