Registration for 7th Annual Costa Rica C2C is open.
Jacqueline Windh / 02.01.2007

The race is organized by local tour company Adventure Racing Costa Rica, and the infrastructure that they have on hand makes this race one of the easier international races for teams to compete in. The organizers provide all assistance on the course – all that teams have to do is arrive at the international airport in San José, and the organizers take care of all the rest. They also can arrange itineraries to accommodate friends and family members who would like to follow the race route, and even participate in activities such as rafting.
This will be the seventh edition of this annual event, which is reknowned for the spectacular landscapes that racers pass through. Past editions have included everything from exhilariting whitewater rafting sections (with a local guide provided for teams that do not have a member with a qualified river guide), ascents on foot up active steaming volcanoes, midnight treks through tropical jungle, to fast cycling sections through open pampa. Even though the local Tico teams are not able to travel much to races outside of their country, they are both strong and experienced; so far, no international team has ever beat out the locals.
