Some news just in, After huge demand from disappointed competitors, Max Adventure approached Blue Mountains National Parks to have their permit numbers increased. Parks have agreed to a further 25 entries.

And this was the news, The first Kathmandu Adventure Race of the year is already Sold Out! With 100 teams due to line up on Sunday at the start in Leonay. With three run legs including a gorge which should get competitors out of the summer heat, one MTB leg, but it is the blue mountains so competitors shouldn’t expect a flat course and two paddle legs, atleast they will be flat and cooling, it is sure to be an action packed event.

The course takes the participants off the beaten track and through some stunning parts of the Blue Mountains.

Race Director Gary Farebrother explains \" this first adventure race of the year is a great way to blow away the excesses of the Christmas break . The course is due to take between 2-5 hours to complete and so is ideal for the beginner and experienced racer alike. With over $3,000 of prizes up for grabs, supplied by Kathmandu, the competition will be fierce\"
