Team Accelerate Gear Up for 2007

Team Accelerate got off to a successful start at the recent Open5, with 3 wins and the team has unveiled their 2007 partners and sponsors. High Five continue as the sports nutrtion partner, as do Vivid as communications partner, with Accelerate providing Management and Coaching support.

Also confirming support to the Team is Skins, an established brand in Australia and the No.1 compression garment brand there and in New Zealand. The Skins clothing worn by Team Accelerate is engineered gradient compression garments that apply a balanced and accurate surface pressure over specific body parts, which triggers an accelerateion of blood flow. This increases oxygen delivery to working muscles to enhance their performance. This also enhances recovery time and has been proven to reduce muscle soreness. Also supporting the team is OMM (Original Mountain Marathon), who will be supplying packs to the squad members for the coming year. “The relationship with OMM”, said Kit Manager, Kev Honeysett, “is more than just about supply. We will be working closely with the Team at OMM with product ideas and testing”. Mike Parsons of OMM reinforced this as he plans to attend the Team’s next training session in February.

In addition both Mountain Hardwear and Inov-8 footwear have confirmed their roles as suppliers to the team. The team got themselves off to a flying start at the recent Open5, Hebden Bridge with three catergory wins. Tim Higginbottom (Male Solo), Caroline Bullard and Eddie Winslow (Mixed Pairs) and Adam and Will Haynes (Male Pairs) all established members of the Accelerate squad braved the conditions to plan and time their efforts to winning effect.
