So are you or someone you know a fence sitter? Jump off that fence and get your self entered to win an amazing ‘beginner’ package!


THE BEGINNER PACKAGE:

First, your entry will be free, second you’ll be outfitted with a Race jersey compliments of CAPS Westwood Cycle and then - and best of all - you’ll be racing with an experienced racer all the way. Someone who can help you get started, help you train, give you preparation and racing tips, mental and psychological support and advice throughout the event, and motivate you through any difficult sections.

HOW DO I ENTER?

Email us at info@suburbanrush.com and insert “I am a first time racer’ in the heading. All entries received by March 16th will be eligible. (if you have already entered Suburban RUSH and are a beginner, you can still enter)

RULES:

Not so small fine print. You do need to be a first time adventure racer, not just a first time Suburban RUSH racer - again a first time adventure racer! You can have participated in mountain bike or running races, but no adventure races!

WHO\'S MY TEAMMATE?

You couldn’t ask for a more experienced and amazing athlete to race with. Jim Mandelli, captain of Team Subaru Canada, who is also a board member of the Canadian Adventure Race Association, started his adventure racing career in 1996. He has travelled all over the world to compete including stops in Morocco, New Zealand, Brazil, Australia, Vietnam, Costa Rica and Alaska. Jim has had impressive top ten finishes in the Death Snowshoe Race; Raid the North, the infamous Eco-Challenge and most recently a bronze finish at the Canadian National AR championships last year in Timmins, Ontario.

But don’t let this small slice of his extensive race resume intimidate you. Jim, wh o is a great advocate of racing, is looking forward to racing with and introducing the wonderful world of adventure racing to an enthusiastic newbie (aka someone who has never raced an adventure race before).
