Inov-8 Support Top UK Teams

The company have provided shoes to team SleepMonsters for past seasons, and in 2006 they wore them when winning both the ACE Race and Rat Series titles on their most successful season to date. For 2007 Inov-8 have come in as co-sponsors for the team, which now has a strengthened squad with Ifor Powell, John Cunningham and Gill Watson adding a wealth of experience and expertise.
The squad has most of the UK races on their calendar and the same line-up as last year plan to defend the Rat Race series title, namely, Chris McSweeny, Janine Inman and Eddie Winthorpe.
John Cunningham, Dave Hooper, Ifor Powell and Shona Robertson will be competing in the Ace Race series, and Debbie Snow and Gill Watson will be racing as female pairs. The biggest challenge of all will surely be the World Championships in Scotland, where Dave Hooper, Sue Micthell, Eddie Winthorpe and Chris McSweeny will be racing.
The team also have the support of CO2 Balance who calculate the amount of Carbon Dioxide they use to get to and from races and offset this by planting trees.
They will not be the only Inov-8 team at UK races, or the World Championships however, the new Inov-8/Gore-Tex team will be there too and also includes some of the best known names in UK racing in their squad.
Their team for the World Championships will be Heather Dawe, Pete James, Norman Dunroy and Steve Birkinshaw, and already this season the squad have had good results at The Full Monty, the ACE Race at Drumlanrig Castle, wins at the Sutton Bank Open5 event and at the Highlander Mountain Marathon, where Tim Higginbottom and Chris Near won the Elite class.
