Richard Ussher to join Arrow 24 Hour management team
Stan van Jaarsveld / 04.06.2007

Richard Ussher’s experience as a competitor is second to none in New Zealand. As a two time Coast to Coast champion, and World Adventure Racing Champion, Richard has raced around the world and is looking forward to contributing his experience toward the Arrow Series.
Having lived in Wellington, Queenstown, Nelson, and raced throughout most of New Zealand, Richard has great knowledge of the country’s best adventure racing terrain. Richard will initially be involved with his hometown Wellington’s 24 Hour course, however will be involved with the number of aspects of the series throughout the year.
The 2007 Arrow Series will consist of four events across NZ which include:
Auckland July 28-29
Canterbury August 11-12
Wellington September 22-23
Otago November 3-4
Sneak peaks at Auckland and Canterbury courses: With the Auckland region’s event just over 6 weeks away course design is well under way. This course will consist of a bit of old and a bit of new terrain. Competitors will be racing over some of the best kayaking we have done in the past, in addition to some spectacular bush trails. The Auckland event will start on Saturday morning, in contrast to the Christchurch event that will suit the night owls... Christchurch teams will start racing at midnight on Friday, with a night kayak on flat water planned. This will be followed by a tramp in the mountain as the sun comes up.
