Ready to Rumble?
Phil Hodgkiss / 20.06.2007

Think big pumping climbs, think roots, tight singletrack and rock gardens. Everywhere.
The Raasay Rumble will begin with a prologue loop, striking out north and climbing to within striking distance of the Dun Caan summit. All Soloists, Pairs and Team riders will complete a prologue loop as their first lap. We thought of this for no other reason than it wouldn\'t be fair for any rider to miss out on this awesome opener! Don\'t pay too much attention to the scenery if you want to clean the climb and possibly take one of the prestigious climbing prime jersey.
Following the prologue loop, riders will rush out onto the southern loop and into fabulous forestry singletrack, narrow into nano-trails and flow out onto open shoreline. In the forestry and on the north shore there are a number of natural obstacles to be cleaned. Ride through with a natural flair and flowing panache and you\'ll be in the running for one of the fabulous technical prime jerseys. A combined time, including the prologue lap, will place you in the overall ranking.
The Raasay Rumble will start at 10:00 and end at 22:00. Still time to party into the evening!
After your exertions of the race and post-race party, there will be an opportunity to join our guided Sunday Social ride that really should not be missed - ride to the north of the Island at a sedate pace to bask in the stunning beauty and isolation of Torran Bay and beyond to Fladda.
This event is brought to you by Detail Events - purveyors of special events like the Rat Race Urban Adventure and ACE Races. The people behind the Raasay Rumble are enduro rider Phil Hodgkiss, nano-trail-pixie Steve White and legendary adventure nut, Gary Tompsett.
