Primal Quest 2008 Uses The Hottest Web Trends To Spread Word Of The Race

Greg Yetter / 31.07.2007
PQ 2008 Director of Web Service/Lead Photographer Will Ramos and Director of Media Relations/Assistant Photographer Brian Knight have taken the steps to put Primal Quest 2008 on one of the webs hottest sites, MySpace, as well as YouTube.

The MySpace page is www.myspace.com/primal_quest . Checking over the races’ page reveals some interesting details about PQ 2008. Interest are listed as Adventure Racing, Adventure Sports, Trekking, Climbing, Rappelling, Paddling, Canoeing, Kayaking, Mountain Biking, Whitewater Swimming, Canyoneering, etc. Somehow this sounds a lot like the skill sets needed to even think about competing in the race. For its TV shows it only list Primal Quest, I guess all the interest previously mentioned leaves little time for TV. Reading is limited to a book that several of us can remember reading when we wanted to take our passion for adventure racing to the next level, The Complete Guide of Adventure Racing. When looking at the details section of the page you notice that PQ 2008 is single and looking for Networking, Dating, Serious Relationships as well as Friends. The race is 8’11” with an athletic build, who is a Capricorn and whose occupation is an Adventure Race Lover. The race has 73 friends the last time I looked. PQ’s MySpace page is complete with blog entries, blurbs and a link to its YouTube page.

The sites YouTube page, www.youtube.com/primalquest is up and running. The page currently has only the opening cerommony from Primal Quest Utah but this video has gotten over 4,800 views. On the page Primal Quest is described as “Primal Quest is an environmentally friendly, ecologically aware wilderness Expedition Adventure Race ®. Teams of experienced back country adventure athletes journey across expansive terrain using only a map, a compass and combined skills. Successfully finishing requires much more than stamina and mental fortitude. It requires selfless teamwork, spirit and absolute determination. Only co-ed teams of four are permitted to race. Team members are required to travel together at all times and must finish together in order to be officially ranked.” The page has twenty subscribers and with the way the teams and volunteers responded to news of PQ 2008 more will follow.

If you haven’t done so already go out to the sites, sign up as a friend or subscriber and get the latest information as soon as it becomes available. Also, sign up for the Primal Quest newsletter on the official Primal Quest 2008 site, www.ecoprimalquest.com.
