Max Adventure Paddle
SleepMonsters Australia / 15.08.2007

More and more kayakers are experiencing a myriad of waterways surrounding Sydney and most weekends you will see a flurry of paddles on the water somewhere.
Maximum Adventure are pleased to announce all that paddling won\'t go to waste, if you have been training for the Hawkesbury Classic and feel it is time to get out of your kayak for a while, this event is for you. Even if you are not a paddler Maximum Adventure have a fleet of craft you can access and hire for the day.
The event will run for 5hrs, on Pittwater,Noth of Sydney, as with last years Georges River event you have that 5hrs to collect as many checkpoints as possible, there is no set course and checkpoints will be either on the water or a short distance from the water. (will need shoes or covered footwear as you may have to travel up to 1km from the water)
Preferred craft for the event have been sea kayaks, Surf skis and sit on top craft, if you are looking at anything outside those description, ie multisport or racing craft, make sure you are confident in it and that you can re-enter it in deep water. Your craft will also have to have either bulkheads or sufficient flotation wether it be foam or airbags in your craft in order for you to self rescue.
The event will be open to individuals and teams of 2 in doubles and entries are open now here. Thanks to Blue Earth, Prokayaks, Mission Kayaks (formerley perception) and Q Kayaks for their support with this event.
