Odyssey Adventure Racing will hold an US Challenge Clinic

Press Release / 22.08.2007
The 2007 US Challenge, scheduled for October 11-13 in the Pocono Mountains, PA, is right around the corner and teams from all across the country are finalizing preparations. Ronny Angell, President of Odyssey Adventure Racing, has developed a clinic specifically designed for the US Challenge to help teams hone their individual and team skills.

“The Odyssey experience was THE BEST!!

Odyssey provided our team with the critical pieces of our training program that prepared us for our participation in the US Challenge. Specifically, the week we spent at the Odyssey Adventure Racing Academy in West Virginia enhanced our overall training experience. The staff was outstanding - knowledgeable, experienced and caring.

I can not imagine how we would have done in the US Challenge had we not had the OAR training and support. The Odyssey experience was priceless!”
~ Patrick Kennard, National College

Ronny’s nine years of adventure racing experience, combined with his success in coaching teams that have placed first and second in previous US Challenge events, make him uniquely qualified to help teams maximize their performance in this demanding event.

“Ronny Angell and Odyssey Adventure Racing did a wonderful job of tailoring a navigational training session, and practical exercise to our needs. The entire team left this exercise first feeling drained, but very happy with what they had learned. As a team we feel the training will pay dividends during our next race. We would recommend Odyssey Adventure Racing to others interested in raising their adventure racing skills to the next level”.
~ Josh Gerard, Team Washington Group International

Ronny and his instructors have worked with both novice and experienced teams to help them prepare to meet the challenges they will face in the exciting event. The clinic will help to improve individual skills in trail running, mt. biking, map reading, team dynamics and race strategies. Ronny and his instructors will evaluate each team’s strengths and weaknesses and work with them to improve their performance. There will be two mock stages to prepare new teams with the terminology and structure of the US Challenge and to help the experienced teams hone their advanced skills and to improve on their weaker areas.

The dates for this must do, one of a kind training, will take place in the beautiful mountains of Roanoke, VA on September 15 – 16, 2007. To find out more about this event contact Ronny Angell at ronny@oarevents.com or 540-444-4422.
