7x7x7 To The Outdoor Adventure Show

Endurancelife Ltd, who are planning a series of multi-sport races this year, have come up with a novel twist on the 7x7x7 challenge, by attempting to complete 7 marathons in 7 consecutive days ... but in 7 slightly different ways. It’s a tough challenge but worthwhile, as money will be raised for charity and the organizers are also hoping to increase people’s awareness of multi-sport racing and endurance events.
The challenge kicks off today (Feb. 2nd) in Bath when endurancelife’s directors Gary Jolliffe and Barry Matthews, will begin their week of marathons by running 26.2 miles along the Kennet and Avon Canal towpath. It’s the first of a series of marathons to London, where on the 6th, 7th and 8th of February they will complete the final 3 at the Outdoor Adventure Show at the Islington Design Centre – with marathons on treadmill, rowing and kayak machines.
If all goes well the planned itinerary is as follows:
Monday 2nd February - Day 1 – on/off road running marathon from Bath to Pewsey in Wiltshire
Tuesday 3rd February – Day 2 – off road mountain biking marathon from Pewsey to Thatcham in Hampshire
Wednesday 4th February – Day 3 – sit-on-top kayaking marathon following the river Thames from Reading to Windsor
Thursday 5th February – Day 4 – the Royal road running marathon from Windsor Castle to Buckingham Palace
Friday 6th February – Day 5 – indoor rowing marathon on a Concept 2 rowing machine at The Outdoor Adventure Show
Saturday 7th February – Day 6 – indoor running marathon on treadmill machine at the show
Sunday 8th February – Day 7 – indoor kayaking marathon on kayak machine at the show
