2008 Camp Xstream - Includes all PQ Certifications

The 2008 Camp Xstream Adventure Racing Camp will be held March 14-16th, 2008 in Moab, Utah with a 2 or 3 day camp option. The 3 day camp option will include all of the certifications necessary for the 2008 Primal Quest and many other expedition races including the Xstream Expedition.
The core curriculum of the Adventure Racing Camp will focus on mountain biking, trail running, kayaking, canyoneering, rappelling, Tyrolean traverse, ascending, rope safety skills, navigation, teamwork, swimming, first aid, nutrition, gear, efficient transitions and year-round training. Instruction will primarily be conducted “in the field,†as students will participate in the core disciplines of adventure racing throughout the camp.
The registration fee for the 3-day, 2-night Camp is $650, which includes lodging, meals, most equipment, instruction in mountain biking, all ropes skills and kayaking, race certifications and more. The registration fee for the 2-day, one-night Camp Xstream Adventure Racing Camp is $495 and includes all of the above, with the exception of the mountain biking, swimming & first aid clinic and certifications. In addition, camp participants will receive a $50 race voucher toward their next Adventure Xstream Adventure Race.
Accomplished adventure racers including Danny Suter of Boulder Performance Network and Jari Kirkland, top female adventure racer with Team Salomon/Crested Butte are among the instructors at Camp Xstream. “With experienced instructors and team leaders, Camp Xstream is a ‘one-stop shop’ for gaining the skills and knowledge necessary to compete in the sport of adventure racing,†said Camp Director Will Newcomer.
The camp will be held in Moab, UT, home to world-class mountain biking, kayaking and ropes courses.
