XPD 4th Edition Dates Announced

XPD is Australia’s expedition length adventure race and dates have been announced for next year as November 17th-28th. Up to 80 teams of four competitors from Australia and overseas will trek, mountain bike, kayak and complete roping sections in this world renowned expedition.

Edition 4 of XPD will span 800km of the Australian High Country taking in some of Australia\'s highest mountains; flat and white water paddling on crystal clear streams and rivers fed by melting winter snow; exploring the alpine forests of snowgum and sub-alpine ash and tall mountain gums; stops at historic gold rush towns; and crisp mountain air while dangling from ropes on exposed high country cliff faces.

Entries will open 10th February 2008 and teams will be limited. Like previous editions, entries are expected to sell out within hours. Start organising your team now!

Wouter Kingma, the international photographer who covered XPD, has produced an amazing hardcover book of the 3rd Edition of XPD. The imagery is stunning and it\'s well worth adding to your bookshelf.

Adventure Racing World Series

As a member of the Adventure Racing World Series, XPD is a qualifying event for the Adventure Race World Championship (ARWC). The AR World Series is an international circuit of premiere adventure races representing 11 countries creating a 12 month calendar of professional events around the world. Winners at the 2007 XPD have already qualified for the ARWC next year in Brazil.
